Hello, I am a software developer from North Carolina. Welcome to my portfolio - feel free to explore my work and projects.

2021 - Present
I've been working at Truist Financial Corp. on the Anti-Money Laundering team as a full-stack developer using React and Java (w/ SQL). Much of my work focused modernizing the platform as well as the merger of BB&T with Suntrust.
2021
Made a website which generates a side walking animation from a single character image. Front-end was made with React, back-end is written in Python which calls my machine learning models made using TensorFlow.

For the past 2 years, I've been working at IBM as a front-end developer using React + Carbon on Agile teams. Carbon is IBM's open-source library that provides the site components along with their design guidelines.
I was the primary front-end developer for the project below (data shown is mocked).

2016
I finished another game with my brother-in-law. This one is a simple math game where you only have 60 seconds to solve as many problems as possible. I've become faster at solving simple calculations from developing and testing this application. I suppose I got a taste of my own medicine.

I started getting really interested into making games for mobile devices. So, I learned how to use libGDX which is a Java game library that makes it easy to port my games using it to different platforms. My brother-in-law made the graphics and audio and I coded it and put it all together.

2013-2014
I realized that one of the limitations of having a desktop game is that it would need to be downloaded. This takes time and reduces the number of players. So, I decided to make them playable in the browser! I still used Game Maker for these games, but started to learn Java because it is used professionally.

I also wanted to see how much money I would get by having an ad shown. Haha, I've made almost 2 dollars since then!

My brother and I started playing a variety of games together. Since he was "older and smarter," he would usually beat me and then share his strategy. We would often play late into the night since that was when we had time. One of the games we played was a mod of Warcraft 3. I soon decided to make a mod of my own.

It is a king of the hill game where you have to defend the top of the mountain from invaders. I used the built-in drag-and-drop features and made bots to make it more competitive.

Here's a small collection of games I made and put on the internet in 2008. My games were improving. I was so thrilled to have people I never met before play them. Heck! I'm still thrilled putting my games online!

2006-2007
My brother noticed I liked making things on the computer and he introduced me to a program called Game Maker. So, at about 11 years old, I started to make my own games! While I did make a lot of the graphics, I, of course, "borrowed" other games' graphics. These are a sample of the games made back then:

I keep these games on my personal computer and look at them from time to time. It always makes me smile.
